Dear Rosedale families and community,
Welcome to or welcome back to Rosedale for our 2024-25 year together.
I am honored to have the privilege of working alongside our families in the Rosedale community to nurture and educate your children. Our team of teachers and support staff are dedicated to the advancement of all of our learners.
At Rosedale, we are confident and resilient learners who work collaboratively to build strong communities. Learning is a dynamic journey, filled with successes and challenges. Every student brings their own unique set of strengths, interests, and learning styles that should be acknowledged and embraced. Our goal is to help students see mistakes not as failures, but as an essential part of the learning process, cultivating a growth mindset.
At Rosemont, we program for students from kindergarten to grade 9 in an inclusive setting. Our learning environment is positive and caring, where students are encouraged to take risks in their learning. We have high expectations for our students with both academic achievement and social skills. We take collective responsibility for all of our students, ensuring they receive the support they need to be successful.
We are committed to building relationships with families and the community, operating in a climate of mutual trust and respect. It takes a village to support a child in their journey through life, through education. Stay informed, get involved, and join our Rosedale School Council (RSC) and or Association(RSA) at our monthly meetings. This year our Learning Leaders will present information about grade groups before the Principal's Message. Our first meeting is September 18th from 6:30 - 7:30pm in the Learning Commons (library) at Rosedale.
