We take great pride in keeping a tidy school; both inside and out. We ask all our students to be good citizens by putting garbage and recycling where it belongs, and helping to keep our classrooms and school grounds clean.
Bicycle Safety
In order to prevent accidents in congested areas, bicycles (and scooters, heelies, skateboards, and roller skates) are not to be used on the school grounds. Dismount when you are in front of the school on sidewalks to avoid accidents. Parents, guardians and students are asked to dismount bikes when riding in front of the school and up to the bike racks. Don’t run over your teachers or our students!
Thank you. Students may ride their bicycles to school providing:
- Bikes, scooters and all forms of transportation not on foot, are dismounted on the school grounds – including sidewalks out front on 13thAve
- The parking lot is out of bounds for cyclists
- Bikes are locked in the racks provided
- Students wear helmets when riding
The school is not responsible for lost or damaged modes of transportation. Please keep a record of serial numbers and an extra lock key at home. We have had theft from our bike racks so please lock bikes up!
Restricted Activities
- Skateboarding, longboarding and throwing snowballs are not permitted on school property.
- Smoking, the use of tobacco products or substitutes inside the school or on school property is prohibited.
Dogs
Dogs are not permitted on school grounds in accordance with the City of Calgary Bylaw with the exception of accredited Service Dogs accompanying an individual on school property.
