School Learning Team

We recognize that every student is an individual with his or her particular learning style. The goal of our learning team is to address the exceptional educational needs of our students using a team problem solving approach. At Rosedale, our learning team consists of the principal, assistant principal and learning leaders. The assistant principal coordinates individual program plans and makes referrals to other CBE professionals. The educational assistant may work with a student in his/her regular class, individually, or as part of a small group of students sharing the same educational concern. School assistants also work with individual students or small groups of students, under the direction of the teacher, to support student learning. We believe very strongly in a consultative approach, seeking input from all those involved in analyzing student learning profiles and developing subsequent educational strategies.

Support for Students at the CBE

Our students’ success is our top priority and we understand that our students live complex lives and that many factors both in school and outside of school can affect their ability to learn. The CBE offers a variety of services (such as Culture and Linguistic Support, Exceptional and Special Needs, and Psychological Services) to support students, their families and our school, so students can be successful learners.
