Dear Rosedale Families,

Welcome to our 2026 - 2027 school year together at Rosedale School. We are the smallest K - 9 Community Public School in Calgary! Our staff know all of our students and classes are filled with community children from the Rosedale area. Community is key here at Rosedale and we have a strong family connection with parents, guardians and children. We look forward to having families in for Parent Council and school events. Teachers will reach out to families throughout the year.

Doors open each morning at 8:35 for students to enter with classes starting at 8:40 - 3:10 Monday to Thursday and 8:40 - 12:45 on Friday.

Safe Drop off and pick up from school.

Take your time dropping off and picking up students. Students are welcome when they are late and their are no consequences. We have students at the front doors welcoming late students into the building.

If your child is going to be late or away due to an appointment please call the school at 403 777 7530 ext 1.

Please drop off students around the school safely, take your time and know class teachers welcome students into the class when they arrive. Parents and students are not to use the parking lot or alley for drop off and pick up as it is not safe (see signs). Please keep 13th Ave in front of the school open for quick drop off and pick up so all students can enter the school safely. Student patrols will be outside once Grade 6 students are trained to help our community cross the street safely. Use cross walks.

8:35 - Doors Open for students to enter
8:40 - Classes begin
11:15 - Recess until 11:30
12:26 - 1:04 - Lunch for students
- Elementary outside for 15 minute lunch recess (12:26 - 12:41) then inside to eat until 1:04.
- Jr. High students inside to eat 12:26 - 12:41 and then stage area opens for students to study
1:04 - lunch is over
Thursday 3:10 dismissal
Friday - 12:45 dismissal
